Beginning with a classroom session, providing an introduction to features used in species ID and a guided opportunity to examine specimens of species included on the NPMS sand dune indicator species list. Following lunch, the group will head out to use their new ID skills on the impressive reserve, looking at indicator species and also looking for some of the key species that make up the beautiful dune system. By the end of the workshop, you should be confident in the ID features you need to look at, as well as a sound knowledge of some of the most common species you will encounter within this habitat.
